Super Snack #1

This has got to be one of my most loved random ad-hoc snacks ever. All you need are:-

1) some strawberries (or any other berries of your choice)

2) a generous dollop of Philly cream cheese spread

3) slice (or slices) of bread. Wholemeal or multigrain is preferred

4) Honey.

Just lightly toast the bread and after about a minute, add your cream cheese spread, slices of strawberries and then drizzle some honey on top. Pop it back into the toaster oven for another minute or so.

If you don’t happen to have cream cheese, that’s ok. It’s nice just with honey (or even chocolate rice or Nutella…WAHHH!) but we’ll try to stick to Honey which is the healthier option and also happens to be a Sunnah.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of toasting and prefer to reduce the carbs, strawberries dipped in honey make an awesome treat as well. I’d like to thank my pal and fellow greenie, Ibrahim, for suggesting this simple said treat, which has motivated the creation of TheGreenBush’s first super snack 🙂
